Christianity and Law of Attraction - Ten Reasons to Practice Deliberate Creation

Christianity and Law of Attraction - Ten Reasons to Practice Deliberate Creation

As a practicing Christian, I have been disturbed by the attacks by my fellow Christians on the principles of the Law of Attraction and the DVD, the Secret.I decided to dig deep and go through a formal process of attempting to reconcile LOA with my faith.I was determined that I would not sacrifice my faith in order to accept other points of view.Surprisingly, this process actually deepened my faith.I was elated to discover that there was very little difference between practicing LOA and Christianity, if we just put everything in its proper perspective.1.LOA is just another term for faith. The Bible says that it is impossible to please God without faith.Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The principle of LOA is that what you focus on will manifest.Well, the point here is that whatever you focus on, good or bad, will manifest.Call it faith or call it Law of Attraction. It is interchangeable. The goal with both LOA and our faith is to keep our focus on what we want, not what we do not want. How many times, as a person on faith, have you had more faith in what the doctor said than what you prayed for? Use LOA and your faith to focus on wonderful good health.2.LOA reminds us to be grateful for what is already in our lives. In fully experiencing gratitude, we attract more things to be grateful for.I recently read that when vibrations are measured on a scale, gratitude vibrates at the same exact level as love.Well, we know the Bible says God is love.It actually makes sense, when you think about something that you are grateful for, your heart swells with love.I do not know about you, but I personally enjoy walking around all day, feeling in love with God, grateful for the work of Jesus on the cross and being at peace.3.LOA reminds us of the first action by God.In Genesis, we see that the first action God took was to create light. We are created in the image of God and we have creational capacity within us.We should speak creatively like God did.We can write creative words as well.As humans, most of us have underutilized our creative powers.Creativity is not just about painting a beautiful portrait or writing a best seller. It is about living every day as a creative being, understanding that we have the power to create wonderful results in our lives.4.LOA helps us take responsibility for our lives. When you realize that you are responsible for what is manifesting in your life, you begin to take responsibility for your thoughts, your emotions and your words. The Bible says, "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." What are you speaking? Are you taking responsibility for your actions? Are you blaming others?5.Jesus understood LOA.Simply put, Jesus said, "Ask and ye shall receive." This is LOA language.Jesus practiced LOA.Why are you not practicing it? Asking helps us get very specific about what we want.It helps us direct our thinking.Sometimes, we think we know what we want, but when we get quiet and listen to the whispering from our hearts, we realize that we want something different.6.Resistance is not allowing God to be in control.LOA teaches us to give up resistance. We want to get married but the man is not showing up in our lives and we are focusing on him and he is not yet here and now we are starting to get frustrated.LOA says yield, give up resistance.Be OK with the outcome.Focus on the feelings you want.Do not try to micro-mange how the manifestation is going to come to you. This is where God has free reign and we allow His divine nature to come in and give us the desires of our hearts. At the end of the day, God is still in control.7.The Law of Allowing which is a component of LOA says that we should allow others to be and do what they want and it does not interfere with our desires. This is so important to understand because God does not violate our free will.Even as Christians, we have come to know God by our own free will and so we must allow others to do the same.In the same way, we must allow others to pursue their own dreams and desires without interference from us.8.In LOA, we set our intention. Before we go out for the day, it is a wise practice to set your intention for the kind of day you want. This is a type of prayer. When we pray and ask God to bless our day and keep us safe, keep our children safe and healthy, we are setting our intention with God.After all, when we pray, we must not doubt in our hearts. When we set our intention, there is no place for doubt.9.LOA helps us be less prejudiced against others as we realized that God really does love the world.LOA is a vehicle of love.It is a universal law that applies to everyone - that is love.God really made access for every single person to connect with Him and for Him to bless us.God values us as individuals and wants us to express our individuality fully.10.LOA explains the methodology of God.LOA does not replace the Divine Source, God.It merely explains how God does what He does.It shows us how God delivers the goods. Our relationship with God is not just about getting what we want from God.It is full and robust and includes companionship.Think of your best friend. If all they wanted from you was "your stuff," I do not think he or she would be your friend for very long.Instead, it is the sharing and confiding and time spent together that increases your intimacy and friendship. It is the same with God.I do not believe that we should spend our time attacking LOA.It is a wonderful explanation of the methodology of God.Our time is better spent enjoying the wonderful rewards of having an intimate relationship with God.It is also better spent enjoying the vehicle that LOA is in connecting with God.Some of us have gone to church for so long, we are immune to the meaning of words that we have heard repeatedly.LOA gives us a fresh perspective on old truth that we already knew.
